International Engineering Firm: Worked with the People Team to develop DEI metrics rooted in sustainable change practices, and a scorecard that helped operationalize DEI vision and goals, as well as track metrics that were designed to measure success. Provided recommendations for ensuring that unconscious bias would not continue to act as a barrier to recruitment, hiring or assessment of diverse talent.
California Based Tech Firm: Designed customized Diversity & Inclusion Immersion Workshop for 80+ employees that helped all team members better understand the importance and value of diversity & inclusion, the impacts of unconscious bias on D&I in the workplace, and ways that everyone can play a role in ensuring an inclusive culture.
National Education & District Support Organization: Led organization through internal audit and baseline assessment to measure staff members’ understanding of DEI concepts including privilege, bias and self-awareness. Utilized a custom designed survey to also assess staff perceptions of DEI within the culture of the organization. Designed customized sessions for staff to increase their competency regarding DEI, unconscious bias and anti-bias practices. Provided key recommendations for internal DEI framework and strategy, inclusive of proposed long-term metrics and indicators.
Workforce Development Nonprofit: Designed and facilitated six hour, org-wide, all staff, nonprofit retreat with a focus on enhancing diversity, equity and inclusion among colleagues, clients (displaced, system-involved youth) and partners. The DEI retreat was created at the request of staff and board members who were interested in providing employees and partners with a strong foundation for understanding and living out the organization’s DEI vision and goals.
National Education & Leadership Development Nonprofit: Designed and managed 10 week and year long leadership development programs for leaders in the education sector. Developed scope and sequence of trainings, designed curriculum, curated readings, and facilitated a series of day long workshops that covered various topics pertaining to leadership. Provided one-on-one coaching to each leader over the course of the program, which saw over 300 participants over the course of three years. Also led organization through a baseline assessment, data evaluation, design of metrics; facilitated qualitative research; crafted HR strategy that uses DEI at the core of all talent practices; crafted recommendations for the systems-side of the DEI effort as well as the “people-side” of the DEI work (including altering sourcing, recruiting and hiring practices, implementing team DEI discussion guides and incorporating DEI into annual goals) to improve team culture and establish an org-wide commitment to DEI where each staff person recognizes his/her role in its ongoing success.
Community Development Nonprofit: Designed and facilitated Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Immersion training with senior leaders and sales team for multi-city nonprofit organization. Training content and materials were developed in partnership with senior leadership team members who provided insights about the specific experiences and challenges of employees on the ground. The training focused on how to meet the needs of a diverse aging population across various locations and from a variety of economic backgrounds. Recruiting and hiring diverse talent to better meet the needs of the diverse clientele was central to the training.
